Saint Pope John Paul II and Saint Mother Teresa

Saint Pope John Paul II and Saint Mother Teresa

Both of these heroic people were tremendous Saints (witnesses) of Faith, Hope and Love, and are saints of our times. Both had seen and experienced some of the most tragic existence that humanity has ever seen in the poor, underserved, overlooked, controlled, manipulated, neglected, and marginalized. By witness and charity of their own lives, they never lost hope, persuasion and vision to what is most important – Loving God above all and loving neighbor as though they are our own.

Saint Pope John Paul II

(Born May 18th, 1920 – Died April 2nd, 2005 – 84 years old)

He was a man who was “the champion of champions” on the Sacrament of Marriage at the precise moment in time/history when our world so desperately needed such wisdom. Through his philosophical work in “Love and Responsibility,” his Theological work, “Theology of the Body” and the way he lived his life to “the witness of Hope”, he has invited all of humanity to take another deep look into what it means to be human and God’s desire for us to share in His eternal joy. Many are discovering for themselves that this man’s love story for all of God’s people is life-altering.

Saint Mother Teresa

(Born August 26th – Died September 5th ,1997 – 87 years old)

She was by far the most respected, accepted and acknowledged Missionary maybe to ever have lived, if not all time, certainly in her life span. Her witness, along with her Sisters of Charity, are a heavenly icon of what it means to LOVE until it hurts. May we take Mother Teresa’s simple yet profound foresights to heart; “Bloom where you are planted” along with “If you want to change the world, go home and love your family”. Many who come across these simple yet heartfelt axioms are beginning to see, with God’s grace/help, we can all do just that; make the world a better place for all.

“Do not forget that true love sets no conditions; it does not calculate or complain, but simply loves.”
Pope John Paul II

“God doesn’t require us to succeed,
he only requires that you try.”
Mother Teresa

“There is no need to be dismayed if love sometimes follows torturous ways. Grace has the power to make straight the paths of human love.”

Pope John Paul II

“True love is love that causes us pain, that hurts, and yet brings us joy. That is why we must pray to God and ask Him to give us the courage to love.”
